Special Statement
Another Red Flag Warning will be in place Sunday at 11:00AM through 5:00PM on Monday.
Fire
The Red Salmon Complex is 143,641 acres and 75% contained. The fire remains minimally/moderately active as pockets of fuel continue to burn within the interior of the fire and continues to back down into creek bottoms. Leaf litter and needlecast continue to provide continuity between fuels. Cooler temperatures are expected today. Tonight, another cold front will approach from the northeast bringing strong and gusty offshore NE/E winds along with a colder and very dry airmass.

Orleans, Weitchpec, Hoopa, and Willow Creek will continue to see levels from Good to Moderate and Klamath will range between Good and Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. Areas near the fire may see greater impacts in the afternoon as the smoke gets a chance to lift and move out. Any increases in fire activity may increase smoke production.
